Putting together the pieces of myself — and vice versa.
Natalia Alekna was born in Moscow and now lives and works in London. She is a visual artist and collage maker, exploring themes of identity, transformation, and the interplay between reality and imagination. Natalia combines elements of fashion, theatre, and nature to create layered, poetic works that invite viewers to reflect on personal and social roles. In addition to her visual practice, she is also a musician and develops her own music projects, which inform her artistic approach and sense of rhythm and composition in her collages. Her work has been exhibited in local galleries and art spaces, and she continues to develop series that merge texture, narrative, and symbolism, engaging audiences in a dialogue about human experience and personal transformation.
In Scattered, London-based artist Natalia Alekna explores the fragile process of assembling identity through collage and sound. Fragments of images, memories, and voice intertwine, forming shifting landscapes where the personal meets the collective.Through layered visuals and immersive sound installations, Alekna reconstructs the self as both scattered and whole — an ongoing dialogue between presence and disappearance, noise and silence, body and echo.
